About Comets and Earth Defense
While Comet Defender is just a game, the threat of near-Earth objects is a real area of scientific study. Comet 3I/ATLAS, the third confirmed interstellar visitor, is currently passing through our solar system on a hyperbolic trajectory — it poses no threat to Earth. Organizations like NASA's Planetary Defense Coordination Office (PDCO) monitor potentially hazardous objects and develop deflection strategies.
This game is for entertainment and education. Comet 3I/ATLAS poses no risk to Earth.
